Rule A - Application of Rates
A. Rates in this section apply only on cargo having an
immediate prior or subsequent movement on vessels
operated by the Carrier and which is loaded or
unloaded at wharf facilities in the Hawaiian Ports
named in this Tariff. Wharfage is solely the charge
for use of wharves or wharf premises and does not
include charges for any other services or facility.
B. Unless otherwise specified in the individual
Commodity Items, Wharfage shall be assessed at the
Cargo, NOS level. Wharfage will apply on all
containerload shipments, including overflow
containers rated under the provisions of Rule 882 of
this Tariff.
Wharfage is NOT subject to minimums which may be
specified within the individual freight rates under
Commodity Numbers 02XX-XX-XXXX, 03XX-XX-XXXX and
08XX-XX-XXXX.
