A. Consistent with the nature of the goods and the type
of service designated on the Bill of Lading, all goods
shall bear adequate shipment marks when tendered by
Shipper except that a containerload shipment covered
by one Bill of Lading or an LCL shipment of 10,000
lbs. or more need not be marked on each piece if the
pieces are readily identifiable as being of such
shipment.
B. Old routing and address marks of every description
must be either removed from packages or over-marked
(obliterated) before they are tendered by Shipper.
C. All cargo must be packed in condition for safe and
expeditious handling. When the tariff does not
specify kind of package, it is understood that bags,
barrels, boxes or crates or other suitable packages
will be used. A container or trailer primarily
designed for the Carriage of freight, whether a
"Container" as defined by this tariff or not, will not
be considered a "Package" in the determination of
freight charges under this Tariff.
