Zone Arbitraries to be added to base rates or charges to
form joint through rates are shown below. Charges may
include up to two round trips: One for placement of
equipment for loading or unloading, and the second for
pickup of loaded or empty equipment. (See NOTE 2)

These Zone Arbitraries are applicable to any size
container furnished. Arbitraries are applicable for
drayage of all types of containers, as described in Rule
110, paragraph 5, unless otherwise specifically provided.
For exact geographical descriptions of the zones, see
Subparagraph (F.) of this Rule.
NOTE 1 - A charge of $31.00 per container will be assessed
in addition to the otherwise applicable charges on
shipments tendered for transportation at Southern Pacific
Transportation Co. Intermodal Container Transfer Facility,
Los Angeles, CA.
NOTE 2 - Where allowed by Carrier, one-way drayage
performed by Carrier will be assessed charges different
from those named herein. See applicable table in Inland
Table Section of Tariff for specifically named exceptions.
B. Joint through rates include only the placement of
container at a location designated by Shipper or Consignee
and its removal from that location after Shipper has
completed loading or Consignee has completed unloading; or
the placement of a chassis at a rail ramp designated by
Shipper and removal of container on chassis after mounting
by ramp operator at Shipper's expense. Zone Arbitraries
are on a per-container basis.
C. Shipment as defined in this tariff will be picked up
at only one point of origin.
D. Containers placed by Carrier at Shipper's or
Consignee's premises may be moved by Shipper or Consignee
from or within his premises provided that the Shipper or
Consignee or his drayage agent has on file with Carrier
an insurance policy as prescribed in Rule 523. Containers
moved by Shipper from or within his premises must be
returned by Shipper to the point where originally placed
by Carrier. The provisions of Rule 523 A. and B. will
apply.
