loading of container freight and returned loaded
to the CY from which removed.
Exception: Upon prior arrangement with and
agreement of Carrier, a container may be returned
loaded to a different CY.
2. Received at CY from a connecting Motor or Water
Carrier under provisions of an equipment

B. Carrier will receive the loaded equipment at CY for

Loaded equipment will be received only during the

C. Consignee or his agent is prohibited from using such
equipment for private business not directly connected
with the transportation of cargo to or from the CY.
If such unauthorized use is detected, the Free Time
otherwise applicable for the equipment under Rule 504

504 will be doubled and assessed for all time outside
the CY beginning with the time the equipment is
removed from the CY.
D. Containers or chassis, or a combination thereof may be

chassis with motor generator sets for removal from CY
by Shippers or Consignees under Rule 849 and 523.
To the extent chassis with motor generator sets are
available, however, Carrier will permit them to be
removed from CY on a first-come, first-served basis.
Carrier will accept no responsibility for
serviceability of motor generator sets or refrigerated
container removed from CY under this Rule, either at
the time of removal or subsequently.
(See also Rule 523)

applicable. This includes placement or pickup of
empty equipment. Empty placement or pickup will be
made by the Carrier subject to the Arbitrary Charges
contained in Rule 340 (Zone Arbitraries).
F. The provisions of Rule 523 must be complied with
before removal or receipt of containers or chassis
under Paragraph (A)(1), (A)(2), or (D) above.

shown as specifically applicable from CY.
