Containers, loaded with cargo moving from Hilo (CY),
Kahului (CY), Kawaihae (CY), or Nawiliwili (CY), may be
stopped in-transit at Honolulu, Hawaii, to complete
loading, subject to the conditions specified in this Rule.
A. This stop in-transit to complete loading priviledge
applies only to straight container-loads of commodity
items which make specific reference to this Rule (753),
and does not apply to shipments containing commodities
other than those named in items making specific
reference to this Rule.
B. The original shipping documents must provide the
following:
1. The location on Oahu at which the completion of
loading is to occur;
2. The amount and type of cargo to be loaded at the
transit location;
3. Certification that the party performing completion
of loading at the transit point will fully comply
with the provisions of this Rule
C. Only commodities named in items which make specific
reference to this Rule may be loaded at the transit
location.
D. Stop in-transit is for loading additional cargo only.
No cargo may be removed from the container. If cargo is
removed from container or if booking is cancelled
following receipt of container at Hilo (CY), Kahului
(CY), Kawaihae (CY) or Nawiliwili (CY), Carrier's agent
will bill Shipper directly in accordance with their
tariff.
E. Freight charges shall be applied on the basis of the
weight of cargo in the shipment after the completion of
loading at the transit location.
Rule 882 - Overflow Containers, shall not
apply to shipments stopped in-transit to complete
loading utilizing the provisions of this Rule.
Containers stopped in transit under provisions of
this Rule will be assessed Origin Wharfage charges
applicable to Honolulu only.
Containers stopped in transit under provisions of this
Rule will be assessed Destination Wharfage as stated
below:
20 foot container $183.57
40 foot container $367.13
45 foot container $367.13

F. In addition to freight and other applicable tariff
charges, a stop in-transit to complete loading charge
of $580.00 per 20' and $700.00 per 40' or 45' will be
applied for each container stopped which utilizes the
provisions of this Rule. (A)
G. The Shipper's transit agent at Honolulu shall be
responsible for the movement of containers utilizing
this privledge from and to the Carrier's Honolulu CY.
Free-time for containers removed to complete loading
shall be 72 hours, not including the hours of any
Saturday, Sunday or Holiday. Containers detained
beyond 72 hours shall be subject to detention charges
as prescribed in Rule 505.
H. Cargo Remaining in Containers
1. Free Time: Three (3) days commencing at 0800 the day
after cargo arrival at Carrier's Honolulu terminal
(Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excluded).
2. Cargo in containers remaining at Carrier's CY in
Honolulu after expiration of free time shall be assessed
storage charges set forth below for each day (24 hours
or fraction thereof)in excess of the free time period.
3. Non-Temperature Controlled Containers
not exceeding 20': $49.00 per day (A)
Non-Temperature Controlled Containers
exceeding 20': $60.00 per day (A)
I. In addition to any penalties or fines levied by the
Hawaii Public Utilities Commission, for any violation
related to intra-state commerce violations, an
additional penalty of $1500.00 shall be payable to the
Carrier. TAG shall have the authority to prepare the
invoice and collect the amount due for Carrier.
Kahului (CY), Kawaihae (CY), or Nawiliwili (CY), may be
stopped in-transit at Honolulu, Hawaii, to complete
loading, subject to the conditions specified in this Rule.
